Taking action is better than taking no action at all.  I just have to add that creating a business plan should be part of that action taking.

NO!  I’m not talking about one of those corporate style, heavy duty, venture capital business plans.  Unless you need one of course.

I’m talking about a mind map, a notebook with a plan that’s stepped out, or a white board that sits on your wall.  As long as you can make check boxes, add stuff, take away stuff, and keep track of everything you’ve got to do.

That’s where it really counts.  Otherwise your just hoping you get everything done.

I know from experience it’s easy to get distracted without a plan at least an informal one.

Besides, once you’ve got it started you can keep track of your progress. You’ll be able to have a sense of accomplishment.  And you’ll be in control of your business instead of it being in control of you.

Your business plan is similar to a map when you’re traveling from Norfolk, VA to Los Angeles, CA.  Yeah, you might eventually get there following signs or the Sun, but it always helps if you have a map with you.

You know… just in case you get lost.

We sometimes tend to do that from time to time.

Your business plan, no matter what it looks like, is your compass to success. It will help you create the success online you’ve been looking for.  It also makes it easier to sell your money making plan to your spouse. 

At least it does for me.

Yeah, there are a lot of resources in there about business plans. But remember, unless you’re going for a loan or venture capital you may not need to worry about a business plan.

I’m not accountant, lawyer, or any of that so check with them before you take my advice on a business plan.

1. Ad Units: There are services available from Yahoo Publishers, RevenuePilot, Bidvertiser and of course Google Adsense which allow you to place advertisements on your websites (in the form of text or images). There are many types of ads some websites allow you to choose your ads others use contextual ads which read your blogs content and display relevant advertisements.

2. Selling Yours/Others Products: If you created a product relevant to the information you are sharing you can definitely try to sell your own products on your blog. If you have established rapport with your readers, you can definitely make some money this way. If you don’t have your own product, you can always use an Affiliate account at Clickbank or Amazon and create a post related to the product you’re attempting to sell.

3. Selling Ad Space: If your blog gets quite a bit of traffic and has a decent Page Rank, you can sell ad space on it. Areas that get a lot of attention such as the header/leaderboard area should go at a higher rate than less visible areas.

4. Write Paid Reviews: There are websites such as PayPerPost, Blogvertise, SponsoredReviews and more which pay you for writing paid reviews for products, other sites, and services. It has been said that Google will drop your Page Rank if they notice that your blog is participating in this. If Page Rank doesn’t matter to you, then this is definitely an option.

5. Sell Yours/Others E-Book: You can actually make great money online selling E-Books, whether it’s your own or someone else’s (with resale rights).  As long as it is offering great content and pertains to the subject your blog is about.

What is the right niche and how does it determine how much cash from the Internet you make?

Well, for starters having the right niche is so much more than just seeing how much cash from the Internet you can make.  I mean, that’s part of it, yes.  But you have to enjoy the niche you choose.

You’ll be relegated to talking, writing, and doing things that relate to your niche for a long time to come if you intend to create an Internet cash geyser from your niche.

So you’ve got to have some like or interest in it.

Many people focus all their energy on making money online and internet marketing first and their passions second, when it shouldn’t be so cut and dry.  You’ve got to consider both.

So let’s start by…

Brainstorming

Where do you start.

The first thing I would do is get a sheet of paper or open up mind map software (my favorite is MindJet).

Now it’s time to brainstorm some ideas.

Let’s start with the obvious…

• What do you like to do for fun?
• What hobbies do you have?
• What do you do for a job right now?
• Do yo have any specialized knowledge?
• Do you know how to do anything that you think other people would want to know about?

These are just a few of the questions you should start asking yourself.  I know that once you get on a roll you’ll be able to come up with so many more ideas.

Now, once you’ve come up with ideas just from asking these simple questions you should continue poking and prodding that unconscious mind of yours.

Poke Your Unconscious

Before you do what comes next you’ll need to prime your unconscious.  The way you’ll do this is by telling yourself that today you’re exploring niches.  All you’re doing is coming up with niche ideas.

Now, take that day and go to your local book store.  Go shopping at the mall.  But keep a pad and pencil with you so that you can keep notes of what you think.  This is not an exercise in shopping but idea generation.

As you go through the stores, look at books or magazines you’ll begin to get ideas about different niches.  Write them all down, even if you’ve thought of them before.  It doesn’t matter, just keep a list of the ideas and niches you come up with along the way.

This is one of the perfect ways to generate ideas.  You have your mind occupied with what interests you in these places and your unconscious is free to work on the question you asked or the command you gave it.

You might be wondering if this works… for real.

Yes!  It does.  Try it, it doesn’t cost a thing and you just might find you come up with some potentially profitable and fun ideas.

Let’s face it… you want to make some cash online and what better way to do it than with something you have fun with.

Ok, so get out there and start the process.  You’ll find that you come up with some great ideas, some crazy ideas, and some that don’t make the list.

That’s ok because all you should be doing is getting your mind engaged on the process.

So get your pen, your paper or mind mapping software and start getting your ideas down.

You didn’t mean for it to happen, it just did.  Things happen.

Now the bills are just as high as the money coming in.  You’re looking for a work at home job that you can do easily at night or when you don’t have errands to run.
When you work from home you have certain freedoms.

I mean c’mon… you’re a stay at home mom, you’ve got things going on.  You’re looking for a list of perfect home based jobs.

Well…

It starts online.  Starting with this post you can decide to be a stay at home mom and still make some extra cash for the things you love.

Maybe you like shoes or purses (My wife loves purses).

Think about the times you’ve walked the mall in the past and wanted that pair in the window but couldn’t afford them.  The times a friend told you about a purse but you just couldn’t swing it.

I’m not talking about the fly by night, stuff envelopes type jobs either.  I’m talking about doing what you love to do and building a small and profitable business around it.

What if you started a blog, just like this one but discussing shoes.  You could talk about the different kinds, brands, colors, combinations, etc.  You could even get people posting and interacting with you.  Of course it doesn’t stop at just shoes.  You’ll get into jewelry, hand bags, and all the extras.

I can understand the thoughts.  It just sounds so easy.  You listen to what the gurus have to say and buy all the programs.  They cost thousands and promise the world.

Are They Making Money On The Net?

These gurus just want your money.  They have a slew of paid staff to answer your questions.  But what kills me is that the staff are working for money.  It’s a J-O-B.  So how can they help you if they aren’t doing it for themselves?  That’s the thing.  They’re not makeing money online.

The guru is making money online but the people he has supporting you isn’t.

Why not ask, the next time you’re on the phone with one of the guru support staffers… Are you making money online?

Now don’t get me wrong.  There are hundreds of people online making money with internet marketing blogs and small niche websites.  It still works.  But don’t be fooled.  It does take some work.

You don’t go from making nothing to hundreds of thousands online without a stroke of luck and one stellar plan.

People can make money through affliate marketing too.  It’s all about laying down the right plan and identifying the right niches that will help you make money.

When you find the right niche, one that you’re passionate about and one that can help you make the cash on the net you’ve been wanting… then you’ve got a winner.

Find Your Internet Marketing Niche

Here’s where you start…

Make a list of items that you’re passionate about.  Make a list of items that you wouldn’t mind writing, talking, and communicating about daily.
